Job summary

Vistra Netherlands invites you to join as Senior Financial Services Accountant - Funds in Amsterdam. You will report to the Manager - Fund Services and cover regional fund services, making a meaningful impact.

You will work with Dutch GAAP and IFRS, handling bookkeeping, reporting, financial statements, investor reporting, and capital calls, collaborating across teams in a hybrid setup with competitive remuneration.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in audit or accounting within Venture Capital/Private Equity funds.
• Knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Adequate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review bookkeeping entries under Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare/Review periodic reports.
• Prepare/Review Financial Statements and assist audits.
• Prepare/Review capital statements and NAVs for investors.
• Read fund documents such as subscription and partnership/shareholder agreements.
• Prepare/Review capital calls and distribution notices.
• Prepare/Review waterfall and equalization calculations.
• Coordinate with Fund investors on reporting requirements.
• Review investor requests and liaise with Centre of Excellence.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Financial Services Accountant - Funds. Reporting to the Manager - Fund Services, this full-time and permanent position is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Fund Services and its growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation/Reviewing of bookkeeping (e.g. accruals, interest calculations, sales entries, movements in investments according to Dutch GAAP but also IFRS)
• Preparing/Reviewing of periodic reports
• Preparation/Reviewing of Financial Statements and assistance with statutory audits
• Preparing/Reviewing Capital Account Statements and Net Asset Values (Investor reporting)
• Reading/understanding Fund documents like Subscription documents, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements for existing/new funds
• Preparing/Reviewing capital call and distribution notices
• Preparing/Reviewing waterfall and equalization workings
• Coordinating and dealing with Fund investors on meeting investor's specific reporting requirements
• Reviewing investor requests and any ad hoc requests from clientClient contact and communication with our Centre of Excellence

Key Requirements

• Effective client-handling skills
• Strong prioritizing ability and organizational skills
• Analytical, meticulous, and systematic in approach to work
• Possess 3-5 years of experience in audit / accounting fields in Venture Capital/Private Equity Fund industry.
• Prior experience with another Fund Administrator or Fund Manager is preferred
• Sound knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
• Adequate excel skills
• Possess a bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration or equivalent;
