Job summary

Futurewhiz is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to build a scalable financial foundation for growth across Squla and StudyGo brands. You will own financial accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery. Your impact includes strengthening controls, improving processes, and enabling the Finance team to work smarter.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration with auditors and tax advisors, and leveraging automation to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or accounting.
At least five years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or audit.
Experience leading monthly and year-end closing processes.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
Ability to independently assess complex accounting matters.
Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable with financial systems.
Experience improving or automating financial processes.

Responsibilities

Lead the monthly and annual closing processes.
Oversee the quality of journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations and financial statements, with a focus on material and complex areas.
Ensure accurate and compliant IFRS reporting to shareholders.
Lead the year-end audit and coordinate external auditors.
Coordinate with tax advisors and ensure tax compliance by providing complete, accurate and timely financial information for tax reporting.
Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes.
Use automation and AI to reduce manual work and improve reporting quality.
