Job summary

HeadFirst Group is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to share responsibility for the Dutch and Belgian entities' financial administration, ensuring IFRS compliance and timely closes. You will analyze variances, translate financial information into actionable insights, and collaborate with the Finance Manager and Accounting team to improve processes.

You will guide and support other controllers, help maintain strong internal controls, and work with AFAS and Workday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Economics or related field.
• At least five years of experience within Finance & Control.
• Experience with monthly, quarterly and year-end closing, financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS; ability to translate financial insights into practical advice.
• Strong English communication and collaboration with business partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and carry out monthly, quarterly and year-end closing for Dutch/Belgian entities.
• Prepare, review and analyze financial reports and management information.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Review and substantiate general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting data.
• Analyze variances, risks and financial developments; provide insights to stakeholders.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits; guide other controllers on technical matters.
• Work with AFAS and Workday financial systems.
