Job summary

ASICS is seeking a finance professional to join the EMEA team at the Hoofddorp headquarters, near Amsterdam. You will ensure accurate financial reporting across the region and manage month, quarter, and year-end closes.

The role emphasizes high-quality reconciliations, asset management, intercompany activity, and preparation for statutory audits, with a hybrid working model and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvements.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of business processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills; SAP knowledge advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong English communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing for the ASICS EMEA region.
  • Prepare, post, and review journals and reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L.
  • Manage fixed assets, suspense accounts, accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, salaries, and intercompany recharges.
  • Maintain fixed asset ledger master data and execute depreciation runs; reconcile lease liabilities.
  • Support yearly statutory accounts and external audits for regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly/annual analytical reviews to explain key variances.
  • Drive process improvements within the financial control environment while ensuring policy compliance.

Your role in our shared journey

Located at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you'll contribute to our mission by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across the ASICS EMEA region. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing critical month, quarter, and year-end closing activities, whilst maintaining high-quality balance sheet reconciliations and supporting statutory audit processes that underpin the financial integrity of our European operations.

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for the ASICS EMEA region.
  • Prepare, post, and review journals and reconciliations for balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, maintaining high-quality standards throughout.
  • Manage key accounting areas including fixed assets, suspense accounts, accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, salaries, and intercompany recharges.
  • Maintain fixed asset ledger master data and execute depreciation runs whilst performing lease liability account reconciliations.
  • Support the compilation of yearly statutory accounts and participate actively in the external audit process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical reviews to analyse and explain key financial variances to relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements within the financial control environment whilst ensuring compliance with local legislation and ASICS accounting policies.
You have the following skills:
  • · 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of business processes.
