Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or physics is required.
• Six years of relevant professional experience in space mission preparation or development is expected.
• Experience engaging with Earth observation users to define mission needs and translate into requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as Study Manager for pre-Phase A and mission/architecture studies for future EO missions, defining and coordinating industrial activities.
• Lead Phase A industrial activities for missions not yet approved for implementation and ensure smooth handover to the Project Department.
• Act as Technical Officer for Consolidation Phase activities and for in-orbit proof-of-concept satellites, coordinating small teams of engineers.
• Support end-to-end performance simulator development and definition of system and mission requirements with cross‑directorate collaboration.
• Contribute to evaluation of industrial and scientific proposals and preparation of dossiers on EO missions.
