Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) in Noordwijk, Netherlands, seeks a Lead End-to-End Performance Engineer to drive the SAGA mission's performance across space, ground and user segments.

You will define and manage performance requirements, monitor traceability, and lead a team of engineers, coordinating with multiple ESA directorates and industry partners.

The role requires a master’s degree in engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 years of relevant professional experience if holding a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with end-to-end performance engineering, system requirements and interface management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system performance of the SAGA mission with industry partners.
• Define mission and system requirements, including interfaces between segments.
• Monitor traceability from user to system down to equipment level.
• Manage performance models to estimate system-level performance.
• Monitor budgets and risk and support deviations and waivers.
• Coordinate with PA, Space Segment, Payload & User segments and Security leads.
• Provide regular project management reporting on risks and mitigation actions.
• Lead a team of engineers across ESA directorates.
