Job summary

Adryan is seeking an experienced Utilities System Owner to take end-to-end technical ownership of critical utility systems in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. You will oversee systems such as HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, boilers, and BMS, ensuring lifecycle integrity and up-to-date maintenance documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of utilities, facilities, maintenance, or system ownership experience in GMP-regulated environments.
• Experience with GMP, compliance, and inspection readiness.
• Knowledge of lifecycle management for critical utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical ownership of critical utility systems (HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, boilers, BMS, other building utilities).
• Monitor performance and reliability; identify risks and improvement opportunities; ensure maintenance and technical documents are up to date.
• Act as technical SME; lead troubleshooting, root cause investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Validation, Reliability, Automation, EH&S and Operations.
• Support qualification, validation, FAT/SAT, design reviews, and handover of new or modified systems.
• Engage in lifecycle management and planning of upgrades or replacements; identify obsolescence and risk mitigation.

The Role

As Utilities System Owner, you will take end-to-end technical ownership of critical utility systems within a manufacturing facility.

Your responsibility will be to ensure that these systems remain:

throughout their entire lifecycle.

You will work with systems such as:

• HVAC
• Compressed air
• Chilled water
• Boilers
• BMS
• Other building utilities

You will monitor their performance and reliability, identify potential risks and improvement opportunities, and ensure that maintenance and technical documentation are up to date.

Technical Expertise:

A key part of the role is acting as the technical SME for your assigned systems.

You will support and lead:

• Troubleshooting
• Root cause investigations
• Deviations
• CAPAs
• Change controls

while working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Validation, Reliability, Automation, EH&S and Operations.

You will also be involved in lifecycle management — identifying obsolescence and reliability risks, planning upgrades or replacements, and contributing to long-term asset strategies.

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of relevant experience in utilities engineering, facilities, maintenance, or system ownership, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or another GMP-regulated environment.

Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP PM or Maximo and knowledge of GMP, compliance and inspection readiness are important.
