Job summary

Airwallex is hiring an experienced (Senior) Counsel to support its fast-growing commercial legal team across EMEA. You will lead complex deals, advise on multi-jurisdictional strategies, and help scale templates and processes. The role is based in Amsterdam, NL.

You will work with a globally distributed Commercial team on enterprise partnerships, technology transactions, and SaaS agreements, contributing to Airwallex’s growth in the Netherlands and beyond.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of legal experience, including private practice at a top law firm.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and writing skills.
• Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple deals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive complex deals. Lead negotiations on high-stakes enterprise commercial and strategic partnership deals across EMEA.
• Build for scale. Develop and implement scalable templates, playbooks, and processes for commercial legal support.
• Be a strategic partner. Advise dynamic commercial leadership and scale go-to-market deal strategies.
• Enhance Efficiency. Leverage data and technology to increase efficiency of the commercial legal function.
• Collaborate Globally. Work with Airwallex’s global legal, compliance, and risk teams across jurisdictions.
• Contribute to Culture. Contribute to the culture of the legal team and the company.
