Job summary

Avular seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build onboard software for modular robotics platforms. You will bridge hardware and software teams, delivering robust, high-performance code in C++ and Python, aligned with ROS frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of modern C++ and strong Python experience.
• Production software experience with Linux, Docker, and CMake.
• Ability to design, implement, test, and maintain high-performance software.

Responsibilities

• Design and build onboard applications in C++ with Python where appropriate.
• Co-develop software architecture and interfaces across teams.
• Write and define requirements for new functionality.
• Work closely with hardware, firmware, and control engineers.
• Create automated tests and documentation for features.
• Drive code quality, reviews, CI/CD, and release processes.
