Avular is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to strengthen the Control team in Eindhoven. You will apply CV expertise to localise robots and enable autonomous navigation, while contributing to perception challenges like object tracking and scene understanding.

You’ll implement vision-based functionality from prototype to deployment, validating algorithms on real robots and documenting results. Collaboration with engineers, and deploying on embedded hardware, are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Control Systems, Mathematics or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in computer vision or robotics, with CV as core strength.
• Strong analytical skills with an algorithmic mindset and geometric CV experience.

Responsabilités

• Develop vision-based functionality from prototype to deployment, focusing on localisation using optical flow, visual odometry and map matching.
• Work on core product development and create custom solutions for customer applications.
• Deploy and validate algorithms on real robots, assessing accuracy, robustness and compute needs.
• Collaborate with robotics and software engineers and align with system architects.
• Document approaches and results, and test software against requirements.
• Analyse logs and ROS bags to evaluate performance and investigate issues.
