Job summary

FairPlay Engineering in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to industrial and energy projects involving LV, MV, and HV systems. You will design, calculate, and document electrical installations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on 3D engineering projects.

The role offers onsite or modern office-based work, with a focus on energy efficiency, safety, and reliability. Fluency in Dutch or willingness to learn is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering environments.
• Strong expertise in low-, medium-, and/or high-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience with electrical design calculations including cable sizing and short-circuit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Intelec and Caneco is advantageous.
• Fluent in Dutch or motivated to learn Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for industrial and energy-related projects, including low-, medium-, and high-voltage installations.
• Translate client requirements into practical, efficient, and technically sound engineering solutions.
• Perform complex electrical calculations, including short-circuit analyses, load flow studies, cable sizing, and power system evaluations.
• Develop technical documentation such as reports, schematics, single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment lists.
• Provide technical advice throughout various project phases and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Contribute to projects involving emergency power systems, lighting installations, motors and drives, earthing systems, and lightning protection.
