Job summary

FairPlay Engineering BV in the Netherlands seeks an experienced Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to own complex E&I projects in industrial and energy sectors, including battery storage and smart networks.

You will guide design, perform calculations, review deliverables, and lead engineers, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with NEN1010 and IEC 60364.

This role requires strong stakeholder management and hands-on technical leadership in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant Electrical & Instrumentation experience.
• Experience in a Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, or coordinating engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and industrial installations.
• Extensive knowledge of NEN1010 and IEC 60364 standards.
• Experience performing cable calculations, short-circuit calculations, and power system studies.
• Ability to develop and review electrical engineering deliverables from concept through detailed design.
• Experience preparing and managing load lists, cable schedules, and single line diagrams.
• Capable of providing technical guidance and reviewing the work of other engineers.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary industrial or energy-related projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on safety, reliability, and quality.
• Experience with engineering software such as Intelec, Dialux, and Vision Network Analysis.
• Ability to translate client requirements into practical and future-proof engineering solutions.
• Experience within the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, or energy sectors is advantageous
