Job summary
iwell seeks a Solutions Engineer in Utrecht to design robust electro-technical installations for BESS and EMS projects. You will coordinate with installers and technical experts on-site, ensuring safe, compliant, and grid-ready solutions for grid-following, grid-forming, and off-grid configurations.
You will lead electrical design, product selection, and handover to installation, while contributing to product development and tender activities in a fast-paced energy-tech environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (HBO/WO) or equivalent.
- Experience in electrical design of high power and energy conversion systems.
- Knowledge of grid operator connection requirements.
- Ability to read and produce technical drawings and schematics.
- German language skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create electro-technical project-specific designs, such as isolated terra systems, MV ring changes.
- Develop and integrate power conversion systems and ensure safety and compliance, from DC to Medium Voltage AC.
- Support the integration of hardware components into iwell’s BESS.
- Support sales and tender processes with site design and drawings for external parties.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as system specifications, processes, and instructions.
- Become the electrotechnical expert within iwell.
