Job summary

Assurant in Amsterdam seeks a Senior Claims Specialist (Dutch speaker) to support Dutch claims team and assist the Team Lead with escalations, quality assurance, and training.

You will handle claims, assist with scheduling, and provide expert interpretation of policies while maintaining service levels. Dutch fluency and strong English, plus solid computer skills, are essential for success in a hybrid 3-2 work week.

Qualifications

• Fluent Dutch and good English communication skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
• Good computer skills, including data entry, website navigation, and other software.
• Experience supporting team performance, monitoring quality and guiding colleagues within a customer service environment.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Comfortable handling escalated customer situations and complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Assess and resolve insurance claims.
• Support with administrative activities and email management.
• Support the planning of the team's work schedule.
• Act as a subject matter expert for complex claims and policy interpretation.
• Take ownership of escalated complaints, fraud investigations, and complex cases.
• Conduct quality reviews and provide guidance and feedback to colleagues.
• Assist with the onboarding and training of new starters.
• Work closely with the Team Lead to support daily operations, service levels, quality standards, and continuous improvements.
