Job summary

Avular is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build onboard software for modular robotics platforms and to bridge hardware and higher-level software teams. You will develop in C++17 with Python, focusing on ROS2-based systems and production-quality UI with Qt/QML.

The role involves collaborating with hardware, control, and algorithm engineers, defining requirements, and validating features against embedded hardware. Eindhoven office-based role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Robotics, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in modern C++ (C++17 or newer) and Python.
• Experience with Qt and QML for production-quality UIs in embedded/mobile devices.
• Experience designing software that communicates with and controls external hardware or robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build onboard software for our driving robots using C++17 and Python.
• Co-develop the software architecture: interfaces and how components fit together.
• Define and write requirements for new functionality and features.
• Work closely with hardware, control, and algorithm engineers to enable higher-level autonomy.
