Job summary

European Tech Recruit is looking for a Digital Validation Engineer to join a pioneering Semiconductor Scale-up delivering Digital-RF based wireless CMOS solutions. You will drive validation across digital, analog, and RF blocks and collaborate with design, firmware, and software teams to ensure robust SOC performance.

You will develop, implement, and execute test plans, create Python/C scripts to automate tests, and document results for qualification and compliance, enabling efficient bring-up

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of digital circuits and low‑power IoT systems.
• Experience with bus protocols (AHB, APB) and SPI/I2C/UART.
• Experience with FPGA systems for pre-silicon debugging (Zynq).
• Proficiency in firmware debugging and real-time troubleshooting.
• Experience with automated test setups and lab testing multiple products.
• Hands-on lab equipment experience (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, generators).
• Proficiency in Python programming for automation and data analysis.

• Working on SoC-level validation and bring-up from component-level to full system operation.

• Debugging and troubleshooting hardware, firmware, and digital interface issues with cross-team collaboration.
• Documenting test procedures, validation results, and specifications for internal reference and compliance.

A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Digital Validation Engineer to join a pioneering Semiconductor Scale-up, who specialise in innovative Digital-RF based wireless scalable CMOS solutions and related IPs.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing test plans to ensure the functionality and performance of SOC integrating Digital, Analog and RF components.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating closely with the design teams, firmware, and software teams to define digital test requirements and validation plans.
• Developing and executing comprehensive test plans to validate all digital functionalities.
• Working on SoC-level validation and bring-up, managing tests from component-level through to full system operation.
• Creating Python/C scripts to automate tests and collect measurements using automated setups with digital test equipment.
• Utilizing tools like Python for scripting and data handling to automate processes and enhance analysis.
• Debugging and troubleshooting issues that arise during testing, including hardware, firmware, and digital interface issues, and collaborating with design, applications, and software teams to implement solutions.
• Documenting test procedures, validation results, and specifications for internal reference and compliance.

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of digital circuits, including memory and MCU architecture and digital interfaces, with experience in low-power IoT systems.
• Hands-on experience with bus protocols (AHB, APB) and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Working knowledge of FPGA systems for pre-silicon debugging, especially Zynq processors.
• Proficiency in firmware debugging and real-time troubleshooting using debugging tools and creating mini-fw to test the HW
• Experience with automated test setups and conducting concurrent lab tests on multiple products.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, signal generators, and programmable power supplies.
• Proficiency in Python programming for automation and data analysis; familiarity with tools like Excel, database management, and version control software (e.g., Git).
