Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a Validation Engineer for a fabless semiconductor company based in Delft, The Netherlands. You will create and execute test plans, troubleshoot RF measurements, and work with automated PXI test setups to characterize RF front-end performance.

Applicants should have a BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, strong RF knowledge, and experience with MATLAB/Python for data analysis and automation.

Qualifications

Job description

A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Validation Engineer to join a Fabless Semiconductor company, who specialise in innovative Digital-RF based wireless scalable CMOS solutions and related IPs.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and carrying out test plans, as well as troubleshooting and analyzing RF measurements using automated test setups alongside their team in Delft, The Netherlands.

The Role

• Collaborate with internal design team to define measurement requirements effectively.
• Develop and execute characterization test plans to report the performance of all the parametric data from RF Front End.
• Create Python scripts based on the test plans and perform measurements using automated setups with PXI system and RF instruments.
• Collect and organize data to verify RF performance across different operating conditions, such as temperature, voltage, and process corners.
• Utilize SQL and Jupyter for data management and data visualization.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing, including debugging circuits, analyzing data, and proposing solutions in collaboration with design, application and software teams.
• Develop and configure test equipment (hardware/software/automation) in support of performance characterization.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering degree.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with RF circuits include amplifiers, filters, mixers, oscillators and measurement techniques.
• Experienced in PVT characterization and Expertise in testing hardware and firmware, including automated test management, integration, and lab failure troubleshooting.
• Experienced in data management and data visualization.
• Experience conducting large-scale automation lab testing across multiple products concurrently.
• Experience in working with Lab equipment, including PXIe, Spectrum analysers, Network analysers, Digitizing Oscilloscopes, Signal generators, DMMs, and programmable power supplies.
• Skilled in programming languages and software tools like MATLAB, Python, and Excel.
• Proficiency in version control software like GIT.
