Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior Professional Services Project Manager (EMEA only) to oversee complex client engagements from initiation to delivery. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage schedules and budgets, and communicate with executive stakeholders to ensure projects meet time, scope and value targets.

This role emphasizes strong delivery discipline, risk management, and continuous process improvement using PMI, Agile/Scrum, and GitLab tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex IT or software consulting projects for external customers.
• Ability to manage scope, schedules, resources, and risks with executive‑level updates.
• Strong stakeholder management and escalation handling.
• Experience with revenue recognition processes.
• Familiarity with PMI, Agile/Scrum, and SDLC methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale commercial projects and executive stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate with Support, Engineering, and Product teams to resolve complex customer problems using GitLab technologies.
• Drive improvements to Professional Services project management tools, processes, procedures, and templates.
• Summarize key customer projects monthly and provide a summary for quarterly business reviews.
• Develop and manage delivery schedules, customer expectations, project scope, resources, status, risks, and issues for technical and consulting services.
• Manage customer escalations by coordinating with customers and GitLab stakeholders, including the executive team, Sales, and Technical Account Managers.
• Establish reliable, repeatable delivery processes, metrics, and operational procedures.
• Set and achieve forecast goals by aligning customers, Technical Architects, project engineers, partner consultants, and delivery partners.
