Job summary

BUX is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer in Amsterdam to lead cloud strategy, security, and scalable infrastructure. You will mentor teams, shape platform architecture, and drive DevSecOps excellence across the organisation.

You will collaborate with Java/Kotlin and Python teams, implement policy-as-code, and own critical infra projects to support millions of trades with high reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership level experience with ownership of end-to-end projects.
• Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Terraform and IaC practices at scale.
• Strong Python development and Bash scripting skills.
• Hands-on security engineering integrated into delivery workflows.
• Experience with observable and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to mentor DevOps engineers and uplift teams.
• Experience with Kafka, CloudSQL, or GitHub Actions a plus.
• Familiarity with financial services controls and regulatory alignment.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision for cloud infrastructure across teams.
• Architect highly available, low-latency cloud solutions for trading platforms.
• Lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives and Kubernetes platform evolution.
• Own identity and access management with least-privilege design.
• Secure the software supply chain with SBOMs, signing, and provenance.
• Translate security and compliance into policy-as-code guardrails.
• Run vulnerability and posture management across cloud and containers.
• Mentor and elevate DevOps capabilities across teams.
• Set standards for CI/CD, security scanning, and automation frameworks.
• Take ownership of critical infra projects including messaging, DB infra, and observability.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance of Spring Boot apps.
• Lead strategic initiatives for reliability, security, and efficiency.
