Job summary

BUX is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer (GCP) in Amsterdam to lead security across our cloud-native fintech stack. You will drive the security posture, implement SCC Enterprise, and integrate security across CI/CD pipelines with strong collaboration across engineering teams.

You will analyze threats, conduct vulnerability assessments, and participate in incident response while aligning with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and DORA requirements.

Qualifications

• Senior/Staff level experience in cloud security.
• Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Security Command Center Enterprise (SCC Enterprise).
• Strong knowledge of SIEM/SOAR platforms and security operations.
• Experience with cloud security posture management and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of threat detection, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, DORA).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code security (Terraform, Kubernetes).
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen security posture and drive continuous improvement across cloud assets.
• Implement and manage Google Cloud SCC Enterprise and security monitoring.
• Define secure development guidelines and assist teams with adoption.
• Review security aspects of system designs and architectures.
• Coordinate with auditors and external security partners as needed.
• Provide security training and awareness for engineering staff.
