Job summary

Ubiqu is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to enable Europe’s digital identity infrastructure. The role focuses on building an internal platform, portable deployment templates, and reproducible environments across on-premise and EU-sovereign setups.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability while collaborating with product teams to ensure security and uptime in high-assurance contexts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years building and operating cloud platforms in production.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Deep infrastructure-as-code skills (Terraform).
• Production cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with multi-cloud, on-premise or EU-sovereign environments is a plus.
• CI/CD experience and scripting/automation (Python/Go/Bash).
• Portability of applications across environments (containers, Helm, GitOps).
• Observability tooling experience enabling teams to run services.
• Cloud security in regulated/high-assurance environments.
• Autonomy and ownership of complex systems.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Build and own the internal developer platform with self-service deployments.
• Package solutions for portable deployment across clouds, data centres and EU environments.
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines with change, release and artefact management.
• Own infrastructure-as-code ensuring reproducibility and auditability.
• Run and evolve Kubernetes workloads across multiple clouds and customer envs.
• Increase observability with metrics, logs and traces for teams.
• Automate provisioning, configuration and patch management for secure deployments.
• Assist customers and partners in deploying and operating solutions and document processes.
• Contribute to eIDAS High, ETSI, SOC 2 and GDPR compliance efforts.
• Set engineering standards and mentor teammates as the team grows.
