Levy Global is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own the design and operation of a custom catalog and metadata platform. You’ll build the workflows, connectors, and pipelines that keep the metadata ecosystem running, while mentoring engineers around you.

The role focuses on governance workflows with BPMN 2.0, Python-based REST API connectors on GCP Cloud Run, and metadata classification pipelines using Dataplex Knowledge Catalog and Gemini APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize governance workflows using BPMN 2.0/Flowable with Java/Groovy.
• Build Python-based REST API connectors and serverless microservices on GCP Cloud Run.
• Lead impact assessments on schema/asset model changes for downstream stability.
• Develop metadata extraction pipelines using Dataplex Knowledge Catalog and Gemini APIs.
• Manage CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Query/optimize Collibra Insights in BigQuery for performance and cost.
• Act as escalation point for complex debugging across GCP and Collibra.
• Translate technical trade-offs into clear solutions for business architects.
