Job summary

WCC Group seeks a senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data platforms and AI-enabled solutions across global clients. You will own end-to-end data workflows, from ingestion to production monitoring, collaborating with Data Scientists, Architects, and DevOps.

You’ll bring 5+ years in data/ platform engineering, strong SQL, Python, AWS, and a pragmatic, hands-on mindset with a focus on reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in a quantitative/technical field; Master’s is a plus.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, platform engineering, MLOps, cloud engineering.
• Experience designing, building, operating scalable data platforms, pipelines, data lakes or data products in production.
• Strong architectural judgment with a hands-on mindset and ownership over production outcomes.
• Experience supporting production AI/ML services with monitoring, versioning, lineage, deployment traces, drift detection, and governance.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Python, Docker, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and production-grade deployment practices.
• Ability to turn messy, incomplete real-world data into reliable, usable assets.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with canonical data models and scalable schemas.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across Data Science, DevOps, Architecture, Product, Security, and Privacy.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and operate scalable data platforms, pipelines, and data products.
• Create data quality, metadata, observability, and lineage to ensure trusted data.
• Design relational, analytical, and vector data stores for AI-enabled capabilities.
• Lead cloud-native infrastructure and operations with automation and IaC.
• Enable MLOps workflows: training, validation, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data needs into maintainable solutions.
• Document data flows, platform designs, and operational procedures; own production outcomes.
