Job summary

Nebius, Amsterdam-based, is building a full-stack AI cloud platform and seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own major data platform components. You will turn business needs into reliable data products and scalable pipelines, collaborating with product and platform teams.

You will focus on data pipelines, modeling, quality, observability, and incident response, helping Nebius scale its data ecosystem while maintaining trust and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in data engineering or backend roles.
• Proven independently delivering complex data pipelines.
• Strong Python and SQL, production-grade code.
• Experience with Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Understanding of data modeling and data contracts.
• Reliability-focused design: testing, monitoring, incident response.
• Ability to decide under ambiguity and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own design, delivery, and operation of complex data pipelines.
• Translate requirements into scalable data models and plans.
• Design data architecture for large-scale workloads.
• Improve data quality, observability, and lineage.
• Resolve performance and data-correctness issues in production.
• Develop reusable tooling and automation.
• Define data contracts with product and business teams.
• Mentor engineers and participate in on-call rotations.
