Job summary

Nebius is building a full-stack AI cloud platform and seeks a Software Engineer with strong C++ expertise to join Nebius Data Platform team. You will design and implement core distributed components that power storage, compute and analytics for internal and external workloads.

This multi-tenant platform runs on YTsaurus across hundreds of servers and tens of petabytes of data. You’ll optimize performance, reliability and scale, and collaborate with talented engineers to deliver robust features

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong C++ skills (core code).
• Experience with distributed services.
• Familiarity with Go and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new functionality in YTsaurus core (C++) with reliability in mind.
• Build platform-level capabilities and scalable architecture.
• Improve end-to-end platform experience (APIs, guardrails, debugging).
• Own production quality: incident response and RCAs.
• Roll out sharded YTsaurus masters and improve metadata balancing for scale.
• Make CHYT faster and more predictable under high load.
• Scale Parquet-on-S3 for native workloads and optimize metadata handling.
• Design and ship audit trails for data changes across storage and compute paths.
