Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES seeks a Data Engineer to join a Schiphol-based team building predictable passenger flows and reducing waiting times with smart tech. You will develop Python backend services, REST APIs, and data platforms to support operational decisions in critical airport operations.

Work with engineers, product owners, and data scientists on deployment on Azure/Kubernetes, monitoring, and CI/CD. Strong Python, REST, SQL/PostgreSQL, and cloud experience are essential, with English and Dutch

Qualifications

• HBO Bachelor niveau of equivalent ervaring.
• Sterke ervaring met Python backend ontwikkeling.
• Ervaring met het ontwikkelen van REST APIs.
• Ervaring met Kubernetes en/of OpenShift.
• Sterke SQL- en PostgreSQL-expertise.
• Ervaring met Microsoft Azure services en Azure PostgreSQL.
• Productie- implementatie en operationele ondersteuning.
• Monitoring en incident management ervaring.
• CI/CD pipelines en Git-workflows.
• Goede communicatie in Engels en Nederlands.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python backend services and REST APIs.
• Build and support data pipelines and system integrations.
• Deploy and operate applications on Azure/Kubernetes platforms.
• Monitor production environments and resolve incidents.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy ML models and data products.
• Improve software quality with CI/CD, automated tests, and best practices.
• Support operational processes with scalable data solutions.
• Contribute to platform reliability and continuous improvement.
