DEGIRO is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its new AI Hub in Amsterdam. In this role, you will help build secure, reusable, and scalable data solutions for AI applications, effectively shaping enterprise data’s future use. The position requires strong skills in data engineering, software design, and a proactive mindset.

Work closely with a diverse team to create innovative data infrastructures that balance speed and governance.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in relevant technical roles.
• Experience building and delivering services in production environments.
• Familiar with vector databases and search retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Build secure ingestion, transformation, and retrieval pipelines for enterprise data.
• Develop scalable APIs to support AI services.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers and business stakeholders.

Skills

Experience in software engineering, data engineering, platform engineering

Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL

Experience with CI/CD and containers

Strong understanding of APIs and secure enterprise architecture

Good understanding of data governance and security compliance
