Job summary

flatexDEGIRO Group in Amsterdam is seeking an AI Engineer to join our AI Hub and help build scalable, production-grade AI applications. You will design, develop, and maintain systems using Python, modern engineering practices, and reusable architectural patterns.

You will work with LLMs, RAG, tool calling, and integrations, build APIs and data pipelines, and help shape the shared AI Platform while ensuring security, governance, and reliability across our enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming skills for production-grade apps.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and AI development frameworks.
• Experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector search.
• Familiarity with agentic AI, tool calling, orchestration, and external integrations.
• Experience designing APIs, backend services, and distributed systems.
• CI/CD, automated deployment and container orchestration knowledge.
• Willingness to own end-to-end AI solutions and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade AI applications.
• Develop intelligent apps using LLMs, RAG, and tool integration.
• Create APIs and integration layers with enterprise systems.
• Implement data retrieval, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Build secure, scalable data pipelines for AI consumption.
• Package and deploy AI services with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD.
• Establish monitoring, testing, and validation for AI outputs.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, product teams, and security.
