Job summary

Our client is an Amsterdam based energy trading and optimization company on a mission to accelerate the energy transition. The company has grown to over 40 people, with a 12 person tech organization split across software, infrastructure, and data teams.

You'll work in a fully AWS-based environment, primarily using Python and PostgreSQL, turning incoming market and forecasting data into insight that directly supports trading decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst.
• Hands-on SQL experience, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in a cloud environment, specifically AWS.
• Affinity for data engineering and data analysis responsibilities.
• Proactive self-starter who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Role mixes analysis and engineering (roughly 75/25 or 50/50).
• Validate and benchmark incoming data from external providers (e.g., meteorological and energy market data).
• Extract insights from time series data and build dashboards.
• Shape data pipelines feeding forecasting and trading strategies.
