Our client is an Amsterdam based energy trading and optimization company on a mission to accelerate the energy transition. The company has grown to over 40 people, with a 12 person tech organization split across software, infrastructure, and data teams.
You'll work in a fully AWS-based environment, primarily using Python and PostgreSQL, turning incoming market and forecasting data into insight that directly supports trading decisions. This is a long-term, end-to-end project: you'll take ownership of making the underlying data accurate, validated, and usable for the business, with room to grow into more responsibility as a medior analyst.
Depending on seniority, the role is a mix of analysis and engineering, roughly 75/25, or 50/50: validating and benchmarking incoming data from external providers (including meteorological and energy market data), extracting insights from time series data, building dashboards, and shaping the data pipelines that feed the business's forecasting and trading strategies.
Python, PostgreSQL, AWS (Timestream and DynamoDB experience a plus), Docker and a bit of
Kubernetes a nice to have.
Full time, 40 hours per week. 3 days per week in the Amsterdam office, Monday and Friday compulsory, third day flexible.
Phone screening, on-site technical interview round, final interview with the Data Team.
