Job summary

Walker & Dunlop's WDTech team seeks a Senior Data Analyst to deliver trusted data insights and scalable analytics across the organization. You will build dashboards, perform data wrangling, and translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations for product and business stakeholders.

The role requires 6+ years in data analytics, strong SQL, and experience with Snowflake/BigQuery, plus proficiency in Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data analysis, BI, or analytics roles with end-to-end ownership.
  • Experience with enterprise analytical databases (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong SQL, data transformation, and analytics workflows.
  • Experience with Python and geospatial analysis preferred.

Impact You Will Have

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering trusted data insights and analytics that support business and product decision‑making across the organization. This role is responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing reporting solutions and dashboards, and translating data into actionable insights that improve operational effectiveness and support strategic initiatives. Working closely with Data Analysts, BI Analysts, Data Engineers, Data QA Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers, you will help ensure data products are accurate, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs as Walker & Dunlop continues to grow as a data‑driven organization.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze and curate data sources to support business and product stakeholders in making informed decisions.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles with demonstrated ownership of end‑to‑end analytical projects.
  • Strong experience working with enterprise analytical databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Experience with SQL, data transformation, and analytical reporting workflows.
  • Experience with Python and geospatial analysis preferred.
  • Real estate, financial services, or related industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Deep expertise in SQL and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and analytical best practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and analytical findings clearly to business and technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled tools that support reporting, documentation, and analysis workflows preferred.
  • High level of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes.
