Job summary

IMPROVEN is looking for a Consultant Data & AI to join our Data & AI group. You will operate at the intersection of business, data and IT, guiding governance, strategy and actionable outcomes for clients.

You will translate complex data topics into clear guidance for boards and management, turning insights into tangible improvements. You bring 3–8 years of consultancy experience in data governance, data quality and data strategy, with a track record in data management principles and regulatory

What will you do as a CONSULTANT DATA & AI at IMPROVEN?

As Consultant Data & AI at IMPROVEN, you work in the preliminary phase of data and AI issues: exactly where vision, strategy, governance and organisation come together. You will help clients deploy data responsibly and effectively, so that strategic ambitions are actually realised. You advise on data strategy and data governance, support decision‑making and create coherence between policy, organisation and information provision. In this way, you ensure better decision‑making, clear ownership and data that is actually used. You work closely with data analysts, BI specialists and other experts, but your strength lies in consultancy, analysis and advice, not in building code.

With your ability to reduce complex data and AI issues to their essence, you make them understandable and applicable for different target groups. In doing so, you help organisations take concrete steps towards data‑driven work and realise sustainable improvements.

• You analyse sharply and translate data into concrete insights and substantiated recommendations
• You have 3–8 years’ experience as a consultant in terms of data governance, data quality and/or data strategy
• You enjoy working together and actively contribute to team results and knowledge sharing.
• You have thorough knowledge of data management principles such as data ownership, definitions, lineage and data quality
• You are familiar with relevant laws and regulations around data (privacy, security, compliance)
• You take ownership and feel responsible for the whole process: from strategy to insight
• You have experience within a consultancy organisation and enjoys combining client assignments with building IMPROVEN
• You communicate clearly and interact easily with different stakeholders
• You combine knowledge of AI and Data with a good sense of business and context
• You have relevant certifications, such as DAMA‑DMBOK/CDMP, or technical certifications (preferred)
• You may build and maintain yourself dashboards and reports driving KPIs and decision‑making

Your team

Within IMPROVEN, you will join our new professional group Data & AI. A team under construction in which there is plenty of room to help build. This department stems from the split from Business-IT to Data & AI and Digital Services and focuses on impact with data and AI.

Together with a passionate group of consultants, you work at the interface of business and technology. This is about more than models and dashboards: it is about creating insights that really help organisations move forward and translating data and AI into concrete results.
