IMPROVEN invites you to join as a Cyber Security Consultant. You will drive digital security at client sites, identify risks, implement controls, and raise awareness. You will translate complex topics into actionable guidance for boards and management.

You will work with privacy specialists, risk consultants and IT auditors to align policy, organisation and processes. This role combines consultancy, analysis and strategic advice to strengthen organisations’ digital resilience and governance

Formación

• 3–10 years of experience in cyber security, privacy, IT risks or information security.
• Knowledge of security standards and laws (NIS2, DORA, ISO27001, NEN 7510, AVG).
• Ability to communicate clearly and bridge strategy, operations and governance.
• Ownership of risk analysis through governance and change management.
• Affinity with tooling such as Excel, Power BI, SQL or Python.

What do you do as a CONSULTANT CYBER SECURITY at IMPROVEN?

As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will be the driving force behind digital security at our clients. In this role, you help organisations identify risks, implement control measures and raise awareness. You work on complex issues and translate them into practical and workable solutions. You also advise on security governance, risk management and awareness. You support organisations in decision-making and ensure coherence between policy, organisation and processes. In close cooperation with privacy specialists, risk consultants, IT auditors and technical security teams, you contribute to integrated security solutions.

Your strength therefore lies in consultancy, analysis and advice: complex security topics are translated into understandable and applicable insights for board and management. In this way, you help organisations take concrete steps towards sustainable digital resilience.

Some of your duties

• Advising on security governance, risk management and strategic security choices

• You are driven, keenly analytical and eager to go the extra mile to make a real impact
• You have 3–10 years’ experience in the field of cyber security, privacy, IT risks or information security
• You have knowledge of relevant security standards and laws and regulations (such as NIS2, DORA, ISO27001, NEN 7510, AVG)
• You communicate clearly and switch easily between strategy, operations and governance
• You take ownership and feel responsible for the entire process: from risk analysis to governance
• You can make security topics understandable to different target groups
• You enjoy working within a consultancy environment combining client assignments with building IMPROVEN
• Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CRISC or ISO certifications are a plus
• Affinity with tooling (Excel, Power BI, SQL or Python) is a nice touch
