Burson, part of WPP, seeks a Senior Consultant to lead high-profile corporate communications and issues mandates in the Netherlands. You will guide teams to protect and advance client reputations across industries such as Energy, Healthcare or Technology.

You’ll thrive in fast-paced environments, with a proven ability to manage senior client portfolios, deliver strategic counsel, and drive integrated comms and public affairs programmes.

Qualifications

• Established corporate communications experience at Senior Manager or Account Director level, ideally in an agency.
• Sector knowledge in Energy, Healthcare or Technology with relevant regulatory and stakeholder insight.
• Proven experience across Corporate and Issues & Crisis with reputation strategies.
• Robust network of media, policy, and stakeholder contacts.
• Ability to manage fast-paced, ambitious clients and dynamic portfolios with strong counsel.
• Energetic team leadership and commitment to day-to-day excellence.

Responsibilities

• Trusted client counsel: act as senior contact for corporate comms and issues, understanding client objectives and stakeholders.
• Media & Stakeholder knowledge: develop insightful corporate and public affairs strategies.
• Issues & Crisis: prepare for and manage reputational issues and live crises with scenario planning.
• Corporate & public affairs strategy: deliver integrated programmes aligning narrative and engagement.
• Planning and creativity: craft storytelling and content that strengthens reputation.
• Day-to-day leader & quality control: oversee account activity and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Proactivity: drive innovative execution across campaigns and issues management.
• Team player: collaborate within client teams and Burson initiatives.
