Job summary

Wellis is a healthtech scale-up building a core platform that empowers pharmacists and patients through an AI-native API stack. You will design the internal Node/TypeScript API, shape data models for patient management and prescriptions, and implement robust business logic around medications and workflows.

The role emphasizes end-to-end deployment, schema-first API design, and integration with billing and ERP systems in a regulated healthcare environment. Hybrid work from Rotterdam applies.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering with Node/TypeScript focus.
• Experience with end-to-end deployment and production systems.
• API design experience with clear contracts and versioning.
• Solid SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
• Experience handling regulated or sensitive data (healthcare preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and build the core API layer for web and mobile with schema-first design.
• Own the data model covering patient management, prescriptions, providers, and devices.
• Implement business logic for prescription workflows and patient lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain agentic tooling, plugins, and workflows.
• Integrate data flows with billing, logistics, and ERP systems.
