Job summary

Magnus Energy is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead complex European energy market and system integration projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, design collaborative approaches, and ensure delivery of strategic change across operations and markets.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment, with a focus on energy transition initiatives and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• We are looking for analytical professionals who combine organisational skills with knowledge of people and a drive to deliver results.
• Master's degree in engineering or business with excellent grades.
• 3-5 years working experience; project management experience and/or experience of electricity and gas markets is a plus.
• Analytically strong: structured, forward-thinking, and able to combine creative problem-solving with strategic insight.
• Excellent communication: mobilize people, active listener, strong in verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in Dutch or German (C2), and professional fluency in English (minimum C1).
• You have a clear link with the Netherlands, having lived or studied here.
• Engaged in extracurricular activities that showcase entrepreneurial thinking and a self-starting approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex business and technology transformation programs for European energy sector clients.
• Provide strategic advice, govern processes, and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable change.
• Establish structure, governance and clear decision-making to keep programs on track.
• Anticipate risks and propose solutions to maintain progress across projects.
• Mentor and develop team members while promoting professional growth.
