Job summary

GKN Fokker Aerospace seeks a Commercial Manager to lead and mentor contracts and commercial staff across defense programs. You will guide end-to-end contractual planning, ensure governance and compliance, and drive strategy for a portfolio of programs.

You will negotiate terms, align customer requirements with supplier contracts, and prepare a range of contractual documents while mitigating risks. Strong English communication and deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS are essential.

Qualifications

• HBO degree in a relevant domain is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Defence and Aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of US DoD contracting.
• 5+ years of experience with FAR and DFARS.

Responsibilities

• Govern contractual and commercial governance for the assigned portfolio across the contract lifecycle.
• Lead contracts strategy for proposals, including terms analysis and risk mitigation.
• Lead negotiations on customer proposals, covering commercial and contractual topics.
• Ensure alignment between customer requirements and supplier contracts through prime flow-downs.
• Prepare contractual documents (contracts, changes, LOIs, NDAs, MOUs, teaming, licensing, MRO).
• Assess and manage contractual risks (technical, financial, contractual).
• Initiate and manage order review and acceptance processes.
• Manage contract changes and amendments.
• Store and manage contractual documents in databases.
• Coordinate payment plans in compliance with requirements; maximize cash opportunities with Finance.
• Collaborate with Program Management and Finance to manage customer debt and minimize overdue debt.
• Support claim processes and provide guidance on settlements and negotiation strategy.
• Provide management information to drive performance and cost competitiveness.
