Job summary

Mercury GmbH in Amsterdam is seeking a Commercial Lead to oversee the project commercial team and support the construction team on all commercial and quantity surveying functions. You will ensure contract compliance, manage subcontractor accounts, forecast turnover and cash flow, and drive best‑practice budgeting and reporting across large civil and data centre projects.

The role requires a university qualification in QS or equivalent, 5+ years in a big onsite environment (€200m+ contracts), and

Excellent communication and organization are essential.
Strong English language skills are required.
Experience in large on-site projects and commercial management is needed.

Responsibilities

Lead the project Commercial Team and support the construction team on commercial and quantity surveying functions.
Identify commercial risks and report to management.
Prepare monthly progress applications with accurate remeasurements and variations.
Oversee procurement and contract support with Procurement Department.
Manage subcontractor accounts from award to final account.
Forecast turnover and cash flow for projects and ensure reliable reporting.
Analyse trends within the Business & Projects and report to Management.
Improve and implement best-practice commercial processes and budgeting.
