Job summary

TOPdesk is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to act as the senior technical authority for cloud engineering behind its large-scale SaaS platform. You will shape cloud strategy, mentor engineers, and guide cross-team architectural decisions while staying hands-on in the estate.

This role focuses on cloud modernization, reliability, and AI-native operations, with responsibilities spanning deployment, governance, and cross-team collaboration across Europe.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years as a cloud engineer with Azure.
• Hands-on technical leader who drives major cloud transformations and unites stakeholders around shared objectives.
• Experience with Terraform via CI/CD and implementing CAF/WAF thinking.
• Strong communication and collaboration across cloud and non-cloud teams.
• Experience setting up scalable SQL databases and data estates.

Responsibilities

• Set cloud strategy and architecture; define and execute the cloud technical strategy with the Director of Cloud & Developer Operations.
• Define reference architectures, standards, and reusable patterns; guide architectural decisions across teams.
• Apply CAF and WAF thinking; design for scalability including the SQL data estate.
