Job summary

NRL is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead onshore wind farm civil design across feasibility through construction in the Netherlands. You will shape infrastructure delivery, oversee roads, foundations, crane hardstands, and drainage, and mentor junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in civil engineering with onshore wind, Chartered Engineer status or working toward chartership, and eligible to work in Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• CEng or working towards chartership.
• 10+ years experience in civil engineering with strong expertise in onshore wind.
• Proven experience in design and delivery of wind farm infrastructure.
• Eligibility to work in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for onshore wind farm projects from feasibility to construction.
• Oversee the design of access roads, wind turbine foundations, crane hardstands, substations, and site drainage systems.
• Review ground investigation reports and integrate geotechnical findings into design solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical and environmental specialists.
• Support construction through inspections, managing design changes, and reviewing contractor submissions.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and civil engineering deliverables.
