Job summary

g2 Recruitment is supporting a major offshore wind project in the Netherlands and seeks an experienced Freelance Design Engineer to join the engineering team on a 12-month contract. You will develop and review designs, produce calculations and drawings, ensure compliance with DNV and Eurocodes, and collaborate with contractors and stakeholders in a hybrid Amsterdam setup.

Fluent English is essential, and a degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Offshore Engineering with 5+ years of offshore

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Offshore Engineering.
• 5+ years' engineering design experience in offshore wind or marine projects.
• Experience with offshore structures and industry standards.
• Proficient in engineering software (AutoCAD, Tekla, STAAD, SACS, ANSYS).
• Fluent English communication.

We’re supporting a major offshore wind project in the Netherlands and are looking for an experienced Freelance Design Engineer to join the engineering team.

• Develop and review engineering designs for offshore wind infrastructure.
• Produce calculations, technical drawings, and design documentation.
• Ensure compliance with DNV, Eurocodes, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Provide technical support through design, fabrication, and installation phases.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Offshore Engineering.
• 5+ years' engineering design experience within offshore wind, offshore energy, or marine projects.
• Strong knowledge of offshore structures and relevant industry standards.
• Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, STAAD, SACS, ANSYS, or similar.
• Fluent English communication skills.
