Job summary

We ARE Renewables is seeking a Lead Engineer for a client in the offshore wind sector. Based in the Netherlands or Belgium, you will lead engineering, preparation and execution of installation projects worldwide.

You will develop method statements, review Orcaflex analyses, prepare work packs, ensure safety and drive offshore operations to deliver reliable renewable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Offshore or Marine Engineering.
• 7+ years in subsea cable installation or offshore wind projects (foundations and/or T&I) (MANDATORY).
• Willingness to work abroad on vessels/projects and in the office.
• Fluent in verbal and written English.
• Excellent team player and good communicator.
• Hands-on mindset with a commitment to safety and offshore innovation.

We ARE looking for a Lead Engineer for a client of ours, an EPCI contractor in the offshore wind industry, to join them on a permanent/staff basis, to be based either in Netherlands or Belgium.

You will take a key role in preparing and executing pioneering offshore wind installation projects around the world. You will turn ideas into action, translate engineering into safe and reliable offshore operations, and help deliver the renewable energy infrastructure of tomorrow.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Drive the engineering, preparation, and execution of our offshore wind installation projects.
• Develop detailed method statements to ensure safe and efficient operations offshore.
• At sea or onshore, you will proudly lead by example — delivering innovative solutions, safeguarding safety, and staying focused on results.
• Review and validate Orcaflex analyses performed by the engineering team.
• Review engineering reports, procedures, manuals, and method statements.
• Prepare work packs for project execution.
• Translate theory into practice on site, optimizing and leading operations when needed.
• Support the project with ad-hoc operational needs and respond to project management queries.
• Ensure planning, reporting, cost management and budget follow-up.
• At sea or onshore, you will proudly lead by example. Delivering innovative solutions, safeguarding safety, and staying focused on results.

Requirements / Your profile:

• Bachelor / Master degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Offshore or Marine Engineering;
• At least 7 years of experience in the area of subsea cable installation or offshore wind installation projects (such as foundations and/or T&I); (MANDATORY)
• Willingness to work abroad on our vessels or projects and in the office;
• Fluent in verbal and written English;
• Excellent team player and a good communicator.
• Hands-on mindset, commitment to Safety, and passion for offshore innovation.
