Job summary

Westpoint Search is partnering with an international organisation to appoint a Category Manager for a €150m spend across production and operational procurement in Belgium and the Netherlands. The role combines strategic ownership with hands-on delivery and leads a team of category buyers.

You will shape category strategy, build supplier partnerships, and align with site stakeholders to deliver measurable value across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Category Management or Procurement Leadership within production/operational settings.
• Track record of delivering sustainable commercial and operational results.
• Experience shaping category strategies and aligning stakeholders around opportunities.
• Strong supplier management and long-term partnership focus.
• Experience multi-site, matrix-organisation environments, with delivery ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies across a broad production and operational portfolio.
• Lead and develop a team of category buyers, setting priorities and supporting delivery.
• Build and manage supplier partnerships to improve performance and create long-term value.
• Partner with operational leaders and site stakeholders to align procurement with business needs.
• Drive end-to-end process improvements from procurement through execution.
• Identify opportunities for cost improvement, value creation and value chain optimisation.
• Lead change initiatives and strengthen procurement practices across sites and countries.
• Build stakeholder alignment and maintain momentum in a matrix organisation.
• Contribute to the Procurement Leadership Team and professionalise the wider function.
