Category Manager Logistics

Our client, a B2B FMCG company, is seeking a Category Manager Logistics to play a pivotal role in driving strategic sourcing excellence and operational efficiency across the European region.

This is an exceptional opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, manage high-impact supplier relationships, and shape the future of logistics procurement within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

As the Category Manager Logistics, you will act as a strategic interface between the business and senior-level suppliers to deliver competitive advantage across Europe.

Working closely with the Supply Services organization and senior Supply management, you will take ownership of critical logistics categories and develop best-in-class procurement strategies that support business growth and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the logistics sourcing, with a particular focus on road freight
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure a robust, competitive supplier base and sustainable cost advantages
• Monitor commodity markets and cost drivers to anticipate trends and inform contract decisions
• Ensure continuity of supply through effective contingency planning
• Conduct market assessments to identify value-added suppliers and implement best practice processes
• Lead complex procurement tenders, including negotiation strategy and stakeholder management

Qualifications

• Degree level education, ideally in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business
• Strong business acumen with a strategic, commercial mindset and operational understanding
• Ideally 8+ years' experience in logistics procurement
• Fluent in English is mandatory, professional level Dutch would be ideal
