Job summary

Packsize International is seeking a Category Manager to oversee supplier relationships and sourcing across Europe from its Amsterdam base. You will drive operational efficiency, manage risks, and support growth with data-driven decisions.

You will lead supplier negotiations, collaborate with Quality Engineers, and develop BI-driven reporting and forecasting. A strong cross-European collaboration mindset and fluent English are essential, with additional European language skills considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver clear messages to Sales Leaders and Executives.
• 5+ years of supply chain/procurement experience across multiple European countries.
• Represent Supply Chain in Europe by communicating professionally with Quality, Customer Operations, and Sales.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• German, Dutch, French, or Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Packsize corrugated board suppliers—negotiate price, terms, and contracts.
• Manage suppliers of glue, tape, and labels used in packaging.
• Analyze supply chain costs to reduce landed costs for each customer.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Develop Supply Chain solutions to resolve Customer Operations challenges.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies with Account Managers.
• Utilize Business Intelligence tools to generate data-driven insights and create reports.
• Create volume forecasts by region and by supplier.
• Lead Quarterly Board Reviews with executives from corrugated suppliers.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to implement service and delivery solutions.
• Update quarterly corrugated costs using paper index.
• Prepare for peak demand surges by identifying supply risks in advance.
