Job summary

ASICS EMEA zoekt een Senior BI Engineer die bijdraagt aan de ontwikkeling van back-end Business Intelligence-oplossingen met inzichten voor de organisatie. In deze rol leid je data-integratie-initiatieven en optimaliseer je databaseplatforms, inclusief het ontwerp van datamodellen. Een hybride werkmodel biedt de mogelijkheid om vanuit huis en op kantoor te werken.

Qualifications

• Uitgebreide SQL- en relationele database-expertise.
• Sterke hands-on ervaring met Snowflake en DBT; ervaring met ETL-oplossingen zoals Azure Data Factory is een pré.
• Bachelor diploma in Computer Science, IT of een gerelateerd vakgebied.
• Ervaring met het opzetten van CI/CD-normen voor data engineering projecten.
• Aantoonbaar succes in het leiden van significante ETL- en databaseprojecten.

Job description

Bij ASICS draag je bij aan de ontwikkeling en optimalisatie van back-end Business Intelligence-oplossingen die bruikbare inzichten leveren binnen de organisatie. Als Senior BI Engineer leid je kritieke initiatieven op het gebied van data governance, integratie en cross-functionele samenwerking, terwijl je best practices opstelt die datageletterdheid en BI-adoptie binnen EMEA versterken.

Je rol is instrumenteel in het stimuleren van innovatie en het inbrengen van unieke perspectieven.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Define and prioritise technical requirements that align with the overall business strategy whilst translating complex business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Lead data integration initiatives and orchestrate sophisticated data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across the organisation.
• Design advanced data models and database schemas whilst implementing comprehensive data transformation, cleansing, validation and enrichment processes.
• Optimise database platforms to enhance performance, scalability and cost‑effectiveness across all Business Intelligence operations.
• Establish robust documentation and version control systems whilst ensuring full compliance with data privacy regulations and managing access controls.
• Provide expert support and training to peers and stakeholders through effective troubleshooting and incident management approaches.
• Drive Business Intelligence adoption and enhance data literacy across the EMEA organisation through continuous improvement initiatives and targeted development programmes.

You have the following skills:

• Extensive SQL and relational database expertise.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake and DBT; experience with complementary ETL solutions such as Azure Data Factory is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Experience establishing CI/CD standards for data engineering projects.
• Demonstrated success leading significant ETL and database projects.
