Levy NL in Rotterdam area is seeking a Senior BI Developer for a 12-month project with an international engineering organization. The role blends analytics with engineering collaboration, turning operational data into actionable insights and driving digitalization.

You will partner with production engineers, build scalable analytics solutions using Power BI, Tableau and Grafana, require SQL and data integration skills, and mentor peers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BI analytics and data modeling at senior level.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau and Grafana, plus strong SQL and data integration skills.
• Experience in a technical, operationally intensive sector such as engineering, construction, energy or manufacturing; finance-focused BI profiles are not a fit.
• A track record of turning operational challenges into data solutions and process improvements, not just executing development tasks.
• Experience with digital product development and data-driven applications.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent working and thinking level.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Availability on an employment basis: freelance/ZZP is not possible for this role.

Senior BI Developer | 12-month project | International Engineering Organization

For our client, a large international engineering organization, we're looking for a senior BI Developer who wants to do more than build dashboards. Working side by side with engineers, you turn operational data into better decisions and challenge how things are done. A 12-month project, hybrid in the Rotterdam region, starting as soon as possible.

About the role

First, you get to know the production side of the business inside out: its processes, its people and the data behind them. From there, you focus on three things:

• Partner with engineers: work closely with production engineers and IT to uncover information needs and spot where things can be done better.
• Turn data into solutions: unlock, structure and analyze operational data, and build scalable analytics solutions that sharpen production insights and estimates.
• Drive improvement: push data quality, standardization and digitalization forward, and help teams adopt and get more out of digital production tools.

This is not a pure reporting role. You're the link between business stakeholders, engineers and development teams, and you advise them at senior level. There's also room to coach colleagues in BI best practices and solution design.

The practical side: 40 hours a week for 12 months, in the Rotterdam region, with two days a week working from home. Interviews are planned for the week of 9 November, so the process moves fast.

Who are you?

You pick up new domains quickly, feel at home among engineers and aren't afraid to question the status quo. You also bring:
