Job summary

Alium is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant to guide top-tier clients through data-driven transformations, turning raw data into strategic insights. You will bridge data teams and senior business leaders, translating complex technical concepts into measurable outcomes and driving value.

Responsibilities include strategic advisory, end-to-end BI architecture and delivery on cloud platforms, client workshops, pre-sales support, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed.
• 4–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years as a BI consultant in international environments.
• Experience with cloud BI platforms and data warehousing projects.
• Strong consulting mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Data is at the core of our digital solutions. As a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant, you will guide top-tier clients through their data-driven transformations—helping them unlock strategic business value and turn raw data into actionable insights.

You’ll bridge the gap between technical teams (data scientists, analysts, developers) and senior business leaders, translating complex technical concepts into strategic vision and measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Advisory: Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and solve high-value problems using data.
• Architecture & Delivery: Design and deliver end-to-end BI and data warehousing solutions across modern cloud platforms.
• Client Engagement: Lead workshops, deliver compelling presentations to executive management, and assist with pre-sales and business development.
• Data Governance: Support clients in establishing data governance frameworks and data architecture best practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Experience: 4-10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 7 years as a BI Consultant in an international or business environment.
• Cloud & Data Platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica (PowerCenter, IDQ, MDM, IICS).
• Data Warehousing & Modeling: Deep understanding of Data Vault, multidimensional modeling, and ETL principles.
• Analytics & Tools: SQL, Python, R, plus familiarity with Qlik or Tableau.
• Methodologies: Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum/DevOps environments.
• Consulting Mindset: Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with a drive to deliver creative, innovative client solutions.
• Mobility: Willingness to work at various client locations.
• Languages: Fluency in both Dutch and English is required.
