Job summary

Oakwell Hampton Group seeks a Senior Backend / DevOps Engineer to own and evolve complex infra. The role blends software engineering, Linux systems and platform operations, across on-premise and cloud environments, with strong ownership of reliability and performance.

You’ll work across backend services and infrastructure, implementing automation, observability and scalable deployment patterns to support demanding workloads.

Qualifications

Strong software engineering foundation with TS and Python.
Experience with Linux and on-premise infrastructure.
Background in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE.
Experience building/operating production systems.
Ability to automate and ensure engineering quality.
Willing to work across backend and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain backend services and infrastructure.
Design and improve Linux-based systems and environments.
Work with on-premise infrastructure alongside cloud tech.
Own platform reliability, scalability and performance.
Improve deployment, automation, observability, and operational processes.
