Job summary

i3D.net is seeking a senior backend engineer to own data migrations, billing flows, and integrations in a hybrid Rotterdam role. You’ll build Go services, expose APIs, and collaborate with Finance, Product, and Business Analysts to shape the company’s billing architecture.

You’ll work on greenfield architecture with a team of five, defining customer data models and asset structures to determine what customers can buy and how it is invoiced.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building production systems in Go, .NET, or PHP, with Go as the main language.
• Experience with SQL databases (MariaDB, Postgres) and complex schemas.
• Designed transformation pipelines and idempotent data handling.
• Built REST or gRPC APIs with secure authentication patterns.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, payment providers, or inventory integrations.
• Familiar with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Ownership and effective communication with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Hybrid role with onsite work in Rotterdam and relocation support for EU residents.

Responsibilities

• Own data migrations and pipelines with validation and rollback capabilities.
• Model and transform complex data structures and legacy schemas.
• Build scalable backend services in Go exposing billing logic and integrations.
• Standardize product, pricing, and billing models across systems.
• Integrate external systems into billing flows (ERP, CRM, payment, inventory).
• Develop robust APIs and integrations with strong validation and monitoring.
• Automate migrations and operations with tooling and runbooks.
• Improve observability, dashboards, and incident response.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Business Analysts to refine business rules.
• Mentor team and contribute to architecture decisions.
